About
Hi, I’m Marcus — artist, producer, and solo artist under the name Bror Forsgren.
I’m the frontman and singer of The Lionheart Brothers.
I'm a music producer and mixer, co-founder of Studio Paradiso in Oslo with Christian Engfelt, and I also work from Villa Bjørk Studio in Ottestad, where I live.
Here you’ll find a selection of my work — both as an artist and a producer. Take a look around.

Artist
My journey as an artist began with The Lionheart Brothers, who released White Angel Black Apple in 2003. Adresseavisen gave it top marks and called our absence from By:Larm (Norwegain SXSW) “nearly a scandal.” Our 2007 follow-up, Dizzy Kiss, brought national and international attention. It earned glowing reviews across Norway, a "norwegian grammy" Spellemann nomination, and praise from The Guardian, who described it as “perfectly crafted, vocal-laden psychedelic pop.” The single 50 Souls and a Discobowl became one of the most played songs on Norwegian national radio in 2007, leading to extensive touring across Scandinavia, the UK, and the US.
At the same time, I played in Silence the Foe, which won the Zoom Urørt competition in 2003. We released Sweet Sweet Suicide EP in 2004 to strong reviews, followed by Shaking Hallelujah in 2006 and tours in Norway, Sweden, and Germany.
From 2010 to February 2025, I was a member of Jaga Jazzist, touring globally and contributing to two studio albums and two live releases. I produced, recorded, and mixed the 2020 studio album Pyramid.
In 2015, I released my first solo album as Bror Forsgren, Narcissus—an ambitious, cinematic pop record featuring TrondheimSolistene, Mathias Eick, and Lars Horntveth. The album received widespread critical acclaim in Norway and internationally, including in Dagbladet, Financial Times, and The Independent, and was nominated for a Spellemann. It was also released in Japan, followed by a tour in Japan and China.
My second solo album, I Dreamt I Was Dreaming, was released in January 2024 on Perfect Danger Records. Where Narcissus explored grand, orchestrated soundscapes, this album focused more inward—blending detailed arrangements with a more personal, introspective voice.
Most recently, I released the single “WIYN” on May 2, 2025.

Music Producer
I’ve been working as a studio producer and engineer since 2004, collaborating with a wide range of artists across genres. In 2008, I co-founded Taakeheimen Lydrike in Oslo with Emil Nikolaisen (Serena Maneesh) and Espen Høydalsvik. In 2011, I teamed up with Christian Engfelt to start EngfeltForsgren Studio in Grünerløkka.
In 2015, the studio entered a partnership with Jan Vardøen, moved to Rosenhoff, and was renamed Studio Paradiso. Today, Jan is no longer involved, and Studio Paradiso has grown into an oasis for artists and bands — a creative home that has welcomed the likes of Pom Poko, Dumdum Boys, Jonas Alaska, and Sondre Lerche, among many others.
